Blending Ideas

This is a very sweet and delicate green tea with hints of jasmine, so adding more jasmine flowers highlights the flavor. While this tea isn’t fussy and goes well with many flavors, delicate flavors are recommended. Longjing goes well with all flowers apart from lavender, all fruits except elderberry, and most herbs with the exception of very strong ones like mints and hibiscus. Spices are not recommended.

Story

Longjing is a pan-roasted green tea from Longjing Village in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. It is one of, if not the most famous, Chinese green tea. Due to its popularity and potential for lucrativity, it is often mimicked in other tea-growing regions worldwide, but the unique and ideal growing conditions of Hangzhou and the expertise of the tea makers who hand roast the tea have made it very difficult to replicate.
