Maofeng works best with floral notes since one of the main flavors present in the tea is chrysanthemum. All fruits work well. Spices other than turmeric are not recommended. For herbs, try juniper, lemon balm, and tulsi. Avoid rooibos and the mints.
Story
Maofeng is a green tea typically grown in southeastern Anhui. Maofeng is typically picked in early spring and is regarded as one of the most famous teas in China. The high elevation area that grows and produces this tea is one of the most highly regarded tea-growing regions in China.
