Blending Ideas
Keemun paired with orange peel is extraordinary, although most fruits work well. The flavor of Keemun alone is incredibly rich and tastes almost like cream has already been added, so keep this in mind when blending. Citrusy flavors work well, but tart flavors do not (e.g. cranberry, hibiscus). Tulsi, interestingly enough, is quite nice. As for flowers, rose and lavender blend well, and for spices try cinnamon.
Story
Keemun was first produced in the late 1800s and was exported primarily for European markets. It was a popular tea for breakfast blends before it was replaced by Assam teas. Keemun teas are malty, fragrant, and particular in that the steeping parameters for this tea are particularly important to unlock its full flavor potential.
